Perspective

     "We are grappling in our politics with matters of great importance, to ourselves, to our nation, to the world, and to the prospects for our posterity to enjoy the Blessings of Liberty. But, as I watched the stars fade from the sky this morning, and the sun rise, I was reminded once again that to our Creator, the One Whose glory the heavens declare, our troubles, which we tend to think are so daunting, are actually quite small. Not that He doesn't care, He most certainly does. After all, not a sparrow falls to the ground without Him, and even the lilies of the field receive His loving care. It's simply a question of proportion and perspective, and knowing Who is actually in charge. There is no danger that He cannot protect us from. There is no evil that can ultimately defeat us. Nothing, nothing at all, can happen without His all-wise superintendence. So, let us confidently, faithfully, do the simple things today that He has called us to do, while trusting Him, resting in Him, filled with the love, and the joy, and the peace, that only He can give."      True, timely, and, from a presidential candidate in today's America, shocking. It's high time we elected this kind of a man, who recognizes the authority of the Higher Power, to the highest elected office.
